The traditional surfboard construction. PU (Polyurethane) foam & fibreglass + PE (Polyester) resin that has been used for the past 75 years in surfboard building.
We use the highest quality blanks on the market that feature incredible flex and spring back, which allows the surfer to maximise their turns. Consistent tight cell structure throughout the blank, with an Optical Brightener and UV inhibitors that keep the whitest blanks on the market that way for longer.
We use a “HiClear” “Direct Sized” E-Glass as standard, Direct Sized means it’s not been heat treated and has a 20% - 30% tensile and flexural strength increase than the standard E-Glass on the market.
Not only is it stronger, it’s clearer, available in all weights and widths, and compatible with both Epoxy and Polyester resin systems.
We use an Isophthalic Polyester Surfboard Resin. Isophthalic makes higher quality, tougher, clearer, whiter surfboards with less denting, crazing and de-lamination. It’s 100% UV Stabilised, 100% clear, 100% tried and tested. Isophthalic Resin double cross link and are much tougher than ordinary Polyester Resins as a result. With similar properties to standard surfboard resins but tougher, clearer and far more UV stable.
PU/PE boards are constructed using the most premium materials. However this does not prevent the board from breakage or compressions. If any damage does occur, make sure to dry out all water from the PU core before repairing using Polyester resin.
It is recommended that you do not leave your board in direct sunlight or in a hot confined space.
